Microsoft recently announced Windows 11 as the next generation of windows. With that many users are now waiting for an update that they might not receive as Windows 11's minimum requirement is what it seems.
Here are 2 reasons why even might your best computer would not be able to run Windows 11:
________________________________
1. Trusted Platform Module 2.0 and Secure Boot.
If you look closely at the minimum requirements you will find out that it requires what's called a TPM (Trusted Platform Module) 2.0.
If you don't know what a TPM is, it's a cryptoprocessor used to add security at a hardware level. It is used for Platform integrity, Disk encryption, and Password protection.
There are two versions of TPM, TPM 1.2 and TPM 2.0. But Microsoft carefully listed TMP 2.0 as its requirement. Microsoft also said that devices that support secure boot will only work with Windows 11.
So If your computer is lacking TPM or Secure boot you are out of luck for Windows 11.
2. Processor.
Microsoft made a whole new article stating which processors are supported you can see that here:
Microsoft clearly didn't Include any processors older than 8th gen even though they included the weak atom and Celeron processors.
So If your computer has a processor older than 8th gen, Sorry you will not be able to run windows 11. You can blame Microsoft for that.
